Course overview

This Indian cookery course aims to help you to build your confidence in the kitchen - you will learn how to combine spices to create authentic Indian dishes.

*This course does not qualify for fee remission.

Course requirements

No experience needed.

What will I do?

You will prepare a selection of Indian dishes, ranging from a simple Dahl with a flat bread, samosas, onion bhajis and aloo gobi, to more complex curry dishes and naan breads.

What will it give me?

There will be no formal assessment but you will be observed whilst carrying out practical tasks and will gain an in-house certificate in completion of the course.

Materials needed

All ingredients are included in the cost. Aprons and equipment will be provided.

What can I do when I finish?

We have a range of other short courses in catering available and we also offer a part-time level 2 or 3 qualification in Professional cookery, that runs from September to June one evening a week.
