Course requirements

There are no formal entry requirements for this course, however, you will need a can do attitude and determination to work hard getting to know how all the different parts of a car work.

What will I do?

The Diploma in General Vehicle Maintenance E3 is mostly spent in boots and overalls in our fully equipped workshop working on a range of modern cars.

Some study is based in the classroom setting using up to date electronic learning packages, to give you the knowledge to back up what you do in the workshop.

Functional Skills in Maths and English is also an equally important part of the programme.

What will it give me?

A good grounding in what is needed to start a career or enter a study programme to train as a Motor Vehicle Technician.

Materials needed

Safety boots and overalls (which we can order for you) and a positive attitude are essential.

What can I do when I finish?

Progress to a full Level 1 programme split between the classroom and workshop to really build on what you have started to learn this year.
