Course requirements

The course is designed for learners to build interpersonal skills around communication, building friendships and deciding what they would like to do in the future. Groups are usually smaller than the average in the college and have learning support to assist in the classrooms.

You do not require exam results to be on the course, but you will attend an informal interview where you will demonstrate your enthusiasm to want to be in the college.

What will I do?

You will do practical and theory classes as well as attending Maths and English (if you have not achieved a grade 4). As part of the course you will do Enterprise activities and experience work related activities in other areas of the college.

Action Planning for personal progress, building confidence and self-esteem, conduct at work, Undertaking an Enterprise project, Relationship and behaviour in the workplace, Career planning, Money time temperature, write to communicate, Presentation software skills

What will it give me?

The course will give you an “Entry 3 Extended Certificate in Employability skills” Certificate.

What can I do when I finish?

This is a year’s course where you can graduate to the level 1 course, join a vocational course or seek employment.
